Calling all men and women! There’s a saying, “Laughter is the best medicine”.  Laughing can give your immune system a temporary boost, ease pain, relax arteries, improve memory and offer your torso a mini workout.  Whether you giggle politely or guffaw till your face hurts, don’t miss out on having a cup of coffee, a bagel with a “schmear” some lox and fruit with Nina Pesce, editor of the Lite Side.

Bring a joke or two to share with the group.  

Cost is $5.00 per person

THIS IS THE ART OR CRAFT OF DECORATING OBJECTS WITH PAPER AND GLUE.

ALL SUPPLIES WILL BE PROVIDED:  VASE, PASTE, PAPER, DOLLIES, AND INSTRUCTIONS.

Monday, September 19, 2022 - AARP Safety Program

AARP DRIVER SAFETY PROGRAM   

DAYTIME

Sponsored by the Canal Walk Men’s Club
This course consists of 2 three-hour sessions.  You must attend both sessions to be certified for completion of the course.

The course is conducted by a trained AARP instructor, and is geared toward the needs of older drivers. Attendance at the class improves your driving skills, stresses safety, provides for a discount on your auto insurance and can remove 2 points from your driving record.

(You don’t need to be a member of AARP).
The class has been scheduled for:
Monday and Tuesday, September 19th   &  September 20th, 2022
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon
A check must be made out to AARP dated September 20, 2022.
You will also need your NJ Driver’s License on the day of class.
This course will be given in the Canal Walk Clubhouse,

The fee is $20 for members of AARP and $25 for non-members.

Ethel Merman was New York City’s girl next door.  She went from being a stenographer from Queens to becaming the queen of the Broadway musical in its golden age.  Ethel’s rag to riches story fueled the hopes of everyday people.  Any office girl or newspaper boy could make it.
